Unaesthetic or unsafe stairs not being exposed to the weather can be attractively and safely designed with an impact-elastic stair covering made of rubber granulate. The slip-resistant, anti-skid stair covering prevents slip accidents and provides a safe stepping.

The stair covering is made of precisely cut, handy tiles with a zipper toothing that becomes nearly invisible after the mounting. That's how the stairs of every size can be covered for a reasonable price, with minimum waste. The cuts are easily pasted on the step with a permanently elastic glue. This product has been manufactured with an enhanced concentration. Thus, it's more resistant against abrasion and mechanical loading, but it's less elastic and open-pored and the damping is worse. It's recommended for surface with normal and enhanced loading.

Classic granite

The colour design Classic granite can be defined as a middle tone of grey, well-known from the granite pavements. The products in the colour design Classic granite are made of black and grey imbued (fully colourful) EPDM granulate. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a robust, UV resistant and weatherproof rubber for upmarket products. The colour design Classic granite is neutral, not subject to any trends, so that it fits almost everywhere.

The tile is two-layered, but monolithic (from one piece). In the rubber granulate of the wear and visible side it's a newly manufactured, imbued EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer). The second, bottom layer is made of the black tyre rubber granulate Styrene-Butadiene Rubber, short SBR. This complex structure is especially favourable for the physical properties and durability of the tile.

Assembly or connection system

There is a strong mounting system consisting in an overlap and a dovetail joint formed into the edges of every tile. Thus, a form-fit, permanently loadable connection is created between the plates while laying. However, the zip is not visible in the surface. This type of tiles unites the best possible connection system for rubber granulate tiles with a classic, rectangular seam design of a chequerboard.

Structure of the underside

A drainage system consisting in 4 mm deep drainage channels across the elements and about 15 mm deep hemispherical domes is formed into the bottom side of the tiles. The tiles can be laid on almost every workable base course, also unbound. Please take note of the laying instruction.
